Quick Answer

Amalfi Summer Amber Brown Contact Lenses are a honey-amber brown with a golden center and a defining dark rim — an easy, everyday way to wear brown contact lenses.

What the Shade Looks Like

In the close-up, the iris opens from a dark inner ring into a light golden-amber center, then blends into a warm honey-brown mid-field before a crisp dark brown-to-charcoal rim closes the edge. That rim is a defining outline, not the main color, so the gold core stays the focus. The print is a fine dot mesh with a faceted, gear-like motif; on the eye it settles into soft pixelation rather than hard lines. A bright light catch sits over the pupil.

What to Wear With Amber Brown

1. Warm neutral. Camel wool, cream ribbed knit, tan leather loafers, small gold hoops. Matte fabrics let the gold read first.

2. Cool contrast. Navy blazer, white shirt, raw denim, silver jewelry. Cool colors make the amber look brighter and more editorial.

3. Warm evening. Bronze satin or chocolate silk with copper jewelry and a brick lip. Keep makeup soft: blended brown liner, fluffy lashes.

Where They Fit

Brunch, weekday work with soft glam makeup, golden-hour travel photos, dinner dates, and cosplay shoots where you want a warm-eyed look without a character design. The dark rim gives the iris a clean edge on camera.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with one honest note: in daylight the honey-amber reads as a visible warm shift, and under harsh overhead light the gold looks stronger than it does in the mirror. If your workplace expects a bare-eye look, save them for weekends.

FAQ

What color are these brown contact lenses? Honey amber brown — a light golden center, a honey mid-iris, and a defined dark rim.

What should I pair them with? Warm neutrals and gold for everyday; navy, charcoal, and denim with silver for contrast; bronze and rust for evening.

Can I wear them every day? Yes for most people — the dot-mesh print blends softly, so the color reads as a glow rather than a hard graphic.

  • Don't reuse contact lens solution.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
